Hey, we’re back for another Five Links Friday. Spring is finally here (crossing fingers) and it’s time for a weekend of writing! Here are the best links I read about writing this week.
1. Let’s start with something that is totally out of my realm of knowledge (since part of the reason I do this blog is to learn new things), the non-fiction book proposal. Sophie Masson has a great post at Writer Unboxed on The Art and Craft of the Book Proposal that is worth a read.
2. For self-published authors looking for an easy way to sell signed copies online, here is a post by J. Kathleen Cheney at Fiction University with some great tips for you.
3. Here’s a great post by Colleen at Writing and Wellness on How to Prevent Writing-Related Stress from Eating You Alive. Because sometime I do feel like I’m being eaten alive.
4. Check out “Intuition is Essential” and other Writing Advice from Gabriel García Márquez that is worth a look from LitHub.
5. Finally, here’s a post on Writing Warfare in Fantasy by Aaron Prince at Mystic Scribes, with some helpful advice for those of us struggling with a fantasy WIP.
That’s it for another week. Hope you have a great weekend, and if you’ve got nothing going on and live in the Lincoln/Omaha area, be sure to check out the ConStellation 9 in Lincoln if you’re into science fiction and fantasy. A few of my friends are doing writing panels there, so be sure to stop by and say hi!
Oh, and for the long-time readers, if ConSetellation seems familiar to you, it’s because I was on some writing panels the last two years. And I had a minor life-changing event happen there last year 🙂
