Okay, so I’m back after yet another tiny break from things. Sorry to kind of neglect the blog and podcast, but on the flip side, I’m making a lot of progress on some of my other projects :/ In the meantime, here are the five best articles I read about writing this week!
1. Whether it’s writing or anything else, if you want to make a fulltime go at it, eventually you’ll have to Do one thing that scares you. Check out this post by Jenny Williams for more.
2. Need some tips on character development? Here is an article by C. S. Lakin on Getting to the Core of Character Motivation.
3. When I finish my next novel, I’m still on the fence. Should I continue seeking the traditional route or self-publish? We’ve finally reached the point where the two options are equally viable. Here are 3 Reasons to Self-Publish by Diane O’Connell.
4. Ever have trouble with the What’s at Stake? question? Here’s an updated post from Janice Hardy on How to Make Readers Care About Your Story.
5. Finally, here’s a post by Christine Frazier on Why the Middle of Your Novel Needs 3 Dramatic Rescue Scenes.
That’ll do it for the week. Check back soon, and have a great weekend!
