Back with another edition of Five Links Friday! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and will use the rest of the weekend to get caught up on your NaNoWriMo. (On a side note, I used to use this weekend for an annual November Nethack Tournament, but the site hosting it has gone down. 🙁 )
Anyhow, here are the best articles I read about writing this week. Enjoy!
1. Let’s start things right with a post by Julie Duffy at WriterUnboxed on why Self-Doubt is Not Good. This is for writers and normal people as well.
2. On the more technical side, here is a post on 3 Writing Techniques Adapted from the Visual Arts by Tess Callahan at Writer’s Digest.
3. We all have those times where we’re struggling to get the words out. Here are some tips on How to Break Through a Fiction Writing Block by Melissa Donovan at WritingForward.
4. That makes two from Writer’s Digest this week, but this one was too cool to pass up. It’s Stan Lee’s 1947 Guide to Writing and Selling Comics.
5. Let’s actually finish with a video instead of a post. Here’s the link to a TED Talk by Celeste Headlee: Don’t find a job, find a mission. I love that idea…
So that’s it for the week. If you’ve got a long weekend like I do, take advantage of it and get some writing done! Thanks for reading and see ya soon…
