Hey there writers. We’re back for another edition of Five Links Friday. Enjoy!
1. Let’s start with a radical idea from Ksenia Anske: Start your writing day by watching a movie. I do get what she’s saying, but, dudes, there are plenty of meals I skip simply because I don’t have time to eat, let alone watch any kind of movie.
2. Got a little stuck coming up with your next novel or short story? Here is a post on MyBookCave with some tips on Where to Find Inspiration for Your Next Novel.
3. Here is a great, great post by Todd Matthews at MyFreedomFlam on What Writers can do When Facing Adversity. This one really hit home, as it seems like all I do is face adversity as a writer. We all do, right? But we have to deal with it, overcome it, and find success no matter what.
4. On to the craft of writing, here is a post by Janice Hardy asking Are You Showing or Telling Your Internalization? This is especially relevant to those of us writing in the first person.
5. Finally, here’s an awesome post by Scott La Counte at Ingramspark.com onUsing Social Media to Find Your Book’s Audience. Just make sure you don’t overdo the “buy my book” tweets 🙂
That’ll do it for this week. Have a great fall weekend, and if you happen to find yourself in Nebraska this weekend, be sure to check out the Nebraska Writers Guild Fall Conference in Aurora.
