Friday’s here! I was hoping to post a little more this week, but didn’t quite there. I did, however, make a ton of progress on upcoming my card game, so the week we certainly not a waste. But onto the writing…here are the best articles I read about writing this week.
1. Let’s start with a quick post from Daily Writing Posts with a look at The Inverted Pyramid. Write the important stuff first.
2. Here’s an older post by one of my favorite bloggers, K.M. Weiland, in a guest post at Writer Unboxed. Check out The 4 Pitfalls of Praise. Still totally relevant.
3. Donna Galanti at Writers in the Storm has a sobering post worth reading on Letting Go: In Writing and in Life.
4. Here’s an informative post for new writer by Derek Haines at JPA: Book Rights And Wrongs And Traps For Authors.
5. Finally, here’s a less-than-positive post from Publisher’s Weekly: New Guild Report Finds More Declines in Author Earnings. Not sharing to bring you down; just hoping you’re keeping your earnings expectations realistic. Also, read comments in the article. Interesting stuff there.
Well, that’s that, huh? I hope you’ll have a great weekend and get lot’s of stuff done. Check back soon for a new episode of the podcast!
